ADP: Accidental Destruction of Plants
Spring, it's coming again. Finally. I was almost afraid it would stay away this year... But it won't. It's coming back. Hooray! Because not only spring is coming, but also little animals such as ducks, sheep, cows, etc. And of course, flowers.
So beautiful, flowers. It's kind of a habit of my aunt to give me (and my sister) a little plant for Easter. The only problem is that I truly can't keep a plant alive. It's not an exaggeration this time. I just keep killing plants! Not on purpose, of course, but they keep dying. Once I got a little plant (which was supposed to produce some kind of weird strawberries, but honestly, I've never seen anything like that...)
I kind of forgot about that plant... So it slowly died of thirst and lack of attention.
The second plant I got was truly beautiful. The flowers were all kinds of yellow and it was growing really well. Because I remembered what I had done to my previous plant, I decided this one was definitely NOT going to die of thirst and lack of attention!
So I can tell you that it didn't happen! No, this one died a completely different way. The opposite actually. I gave it so much water, I kind of drowned it. The leaves were starting to hang down and were all sad, so I gave it more water. It became even more sad, so I gave it more water, and more, and more, and it died slow and wet, very wet.
So I just never do it the right way. When I don't spend any attention to it, it dies. When I actually spend A LOT of time on it, it dies. Not very long ago, my mother decided to give me another plant. Just for fun. I spent a lot of time taking care of that plant and I can say (and I'm actually kind of proud of it): It. Didn't. Die. Because. Of. Me. I swear! It died of old age!
You know why? My mother had bought a plant that usually only grows in deserts! So it doesn't need anything! I could've done anything and everything to it, it would've survived it all... ("It would have survived it all" is just a nicer thing to say than "It would even survive ME")
And it did, I didn't kill it... But still. The plants I get nowadays are just adopted by my sister.
She can keep her plants alive.

What kind of plant is it?
Major bad things doesn't sound too good (duh, no shit Sherlock), what happened? If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine, don't feel obliged to tell me!
I hope you'll be amazingly happy from now on. You should look at your daughters and realize how lucky you are to have them. I know it sounds weird to hear (well, actually read) this from someone like me, but please do know that after every storm there will be sunshine and even a rainbow. So just keep on going, someday you'll wake up and find that everything is fine.
If you need some stranger to talk to, well, I've got a permanent internet connection and I'll be checking in with DA pretty much every day...
No problem, although I hope I wasn't only trying. Did I succeed? Just a small bit? No? Hm, I should practice more often..
it's ok. we've all killed a plant in our lives ^_^
I hope so, that makes me seem less pathetic for not being able to keep a plant alive..
